How Aleksandar Electronics looks after your information

1. Who we are

Electronics Master Repairs LLC (SHAMS (Sharjah Media City) Licence No. 2541392.01) is responsible for your information. Registered office: Shams Business Center, Sharjah Media City Free Zone, Al Messaned, Sharjah, UAE. We trade as Aleksandar Electronics (audio, TV and AV repairs, aleksandarelectronics.ae) and Laptop Expert (laptop and IT repairs, laptopexpert.ae), and run an electronics repair workshop in Dubai:

This policy covers our workshop, our websites aleksandarelectronics.ae and laptopexpert.ae, our shop software (sms.laptopexpert.ae) and the WhatsApp messages our software sends from +971 58 609 0971.

2. What we collect

• Contact details: your name, phone number (including your WhatsApp number) and email address.
• Device details: type, brand, model, serial numbers and accessories you leave with us.
• Repair details: the fault you describe, our diagnosis and repair notes, quotations, and photos of your device taken at drop-off or during the repair.
• Invoices and payments: amounts, dates, payment method and payment references.
• Messages: WhatsApp replies you send to our software number, and emails you send us.

We do not need the personal files on your device to repair it. Our technicians may need to switch the device on to test it. If a repair needs your password or access to your data, we will ask you first.

3. Why we use it

• To book in, diagnose, repair and return your device.
• To send you a receipt, repair status updates, quotations and invoices.
• To answer your questions and handle warranty claims.
• To keep accounting and tax records.
• To protect our customers and our business, for example to show who handed in or collected a device.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal basis and consent

We use your information because we need it to carry out the repair you asked for, because we must keep certain records under UAE law, and, for WhatsApp messages, because you agreed to receive them. You can withdraw your consent to WhatsApp messages at any time (see section 5). Withdrawing consent does not affect messages already sent, and we can still contact you by phone or email about a device we are holding for you.

We aim to handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

5. WhatsApp messages

• Only with your agreement. When we create your repair job, we send a WhatsApp receipt only if you agreed to receive WhatsApp messages (reception ticks this on your job).
• What we send: your job receipt, repair status updates and, later, quotations and invoices. We do not send marketing messages on this number.
• Which number: automated messages come from +971 58 609 0971, a number used only by our shop software through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. To talk to a person, contact reception on +971 50 844 6504.
• Your replies: if you reply to +971 58 609 0971, your text message is saved on your repair job in our shop software so our staff can see it. Staff aim to answer within 24 hours.
• Photos and voice notes: our software does not currently store photos, voice notes or other files you send to +971 58 609 0971. Please send text, or contact reception.
• Meta: WhatsApp messages pass through Meta's systems. Meta handles them under its own terms and the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

How to stop WhatsApp messages

Reply STOP to +971 58 609 0971, or tell reception (in person, by phone or on WhatsApp at +971 50 844 6504). We will turn off WhatsApp messages on your record. We will then contact you about your device by phone or email only.

6. Email

If you give us your email address, we may send you receipts, quotations, invoices and repair reports by email. Our emails come from addresses at laptopexpert.ae. Replies go to info@laptopexpert.ae. We keep the emails you send us so we can answer them and keep a record of your repair.

7. Repair status link and our website

Your receipt may include a personal link (with a customer key) that shows the status of your repair on laptopexpert.ae, the website of our shared shop system. Anyone who has this link can see that status, so please do not share it. The status page shows repair information only, not your full records.

This website (aleksandarelectronics.ae) does not use advertising or analytics cookies and has no contact form. WhatsApp, phone and email links open your own apps; nothing is sent until you send it. The embedded Google Map and links to WhatsApp and Google Maps or Google reviews take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

8. Who we share it with

We share personal information only when needed to run our service, with:

• Meta (WhatsApp), to deliver WhatsApp messages.
• Our hosting and IT providers, who host our website, email and shop software and keep them online and secure.
• Google (Google Workspace / Google Drive), which we use for documents, records and backups.
• Payment providers, when you pay by card or another electronic method.
• Courier or transport partners, only if you ask us to arrange pickup or delivery.
• Authorities, when UAE law requires it.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside the UAE. We only use providers that we expect to protect it properly.

9. How long we keep it

• Job records, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting and legal obligations under UAE law. For example, the UAE Federal Tax Authority requires tax records, including tax invoices, to be kept for at least five years after the end of the relevant tax period.
• Device photos, repair notes and messages are kept with the job record so we can deal with warranty questions about the repair.
• When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

10. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information (see section 11);
• stop or limit how we use it, including stopping WhatsApp messages; and
• withdraw consent you have given.

Contact us using the details in section 15. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act. Some requests have legal limits; for example, we cannot delete records that the law requires us to keep. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why.

12. Security

Our shop software needs a staff login, staff see only what they need for their work, and connections to our website and software are encrypted (HTTPS). We keep backups so records are not lost. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will act quickly if something goes wrong.

13. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If a child's device is brought in, we deal with the parent or guardian who hands it in.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it takes effect. If we make important changes, we will tell customers we are in contact with.
