Common LG faults and how we check them

| TV won't turn on | Power board, standby supply or main board fault. Diagnosis first, then a clear quote. |
| TV: sound but no picture, or dark screen | Usually LED backlight strips or the backlight driver. We test the strips and the power board before quoting. |
| TV: lines, colours or half-screen image | T-con board, panel flex or main board fault. We tell you honestly if the panel itself is damaged, as panel replacement is often not worth it. |
| OLED: image retention or panel error | We check whether it is a panel, T-con or software issue and tell you honestly if the panel is the cause. |
| Soundbar: no TV sound over HDMI ARC / eARC | HDMI board or port damage, CEC settings or power-surge damage. We test with our own TVs and sources. |
| Dead after a power cut or surge | Fuse, power-supply or standby circuit damage. Often repairable at component level. |

FAQ
LG repair questions
Are you an authorised LG service centre?
No. Aleksandar Electronics is not an authorised LG service centre. We are an independent workshop with a lot of experience repairing LG products. If your LG product is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact LG or the dealer you bought it from first. We repair out-of-warranty products and products the manufacturer would only replace.
Can you repair an LG OLED with a cracked or burned-in screen?
Panel damage usually cannot be repaired economically. We confirm the cause and tell you honestly. Power-board, main-board and T-con faults are usually repairable.
How long does a LG repair take?
Most repairs take 1–2 working days. If a part must be ordered, we tell you the expected date before you approve the work.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes. Repairs carry a 3–6 month warranty depending on the device and the repair. The period is written on your invoice.
Can you collect my LG equipment?
Yes. Pickup and delivery in Dubai are free for three or more devices. Pickup of a single device is charged separately. Large systems can be collected together.
