Common Sony faults and how we check them

| TV: sound but no picture, or dark screen | Usually LED backlight strips or the backlight driver. We test the strips and the power board before quoting. |
| TV: lines, colours or half-screen image | T-con board, panel flex or main board fault. We tell you honestly if the panel itself is damaged, as panel replacement is often not worth it. |
| TV won't turn on | Power board, standby supply or main board fault. Diagnosis first, then a clear quote. |
| Not charging | Worn or damaged USB port, charging IC or battery. Ports and charging circuits are replaced at board level. |
| Noise cancelling not working | Microphone or ANC circuit fault, often after moisture or a drop. |
| Soundbar: no TV sound over HDMI ARC / eARC | HDMI board or port damage, CEC settings or power-surge damage. We test with our own TVs and sources. |
| Dead after a power cut or surge | Fuse, power-supply or standby circuit damage. Often repairable at component level. |

Sony repair questions
Are you an authorised Sony service centre?
No. Aleksandar Electronics is not an authorised Sony service centre. We are an independent workshop with a lot of experience repairing Sony products. If your Sony product is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Sony or the dealer you bought it from first. We repair out-of-warranty products and products the manufacturer would only replace.
Can you repair a Sony TV with a cracked screen?
A cracked panel usually cannot be repaired economically. We confirm the damage and tell you honestly before you spend money. Backlight, power-board and main-board faults are usually repairable.
How long does a Sony repair take?
Most repairs take 1–2 working days. If a part must be ordered, we tell you the expected date before you approve the work.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes. Repairs carry a 3–6 month warranty depending on the device and the repair. The period is written on your invoice.
Can you collect my Sony equipment?
Yes. Pickup and delivery in Dubai are free for three or more devices. Pickup of a single device is charged separately. Large systems can be collected together.
